What is Sade Sati?
The period when transiting Saturn crosses the sign before your natal Moon, your Moon sign itself, and the sign after — roughly 7.5 years in three phases of about 2.5 years each. Classically it is Saturn's slow audit of the Moon's comforts: demanding, clarifying, and survivable.
How do you know my dates?
Saturn's position is computed from NASA JPL ephemeris data against your natal Moon sign (Lahiri ayanamsa), and the end of the current phase is found by scanning Saturn's actual path — including the caveat that a retrograde can briefly re-enter a sign.
Is Sade Sati always bad?
No — that reputation sells remedies. Classical sources describe it as heavy but formative, and its effect varies with how strong Saturn and the Moon are in your particular chart. The full chart matters more than the label.
